I've been in love with Letterpressing for quite some time now...ive never letter pressed myself but I love the idea of restoring the machines-giving them purpose again and creating something totally one off and unique.
These two videos are from two different print shops in America. The top one is Mamas Sauce, based in Florida they specialise in Letterpressing and screen-printing. It looks like a great place to work with some amazing work coming out of it-you should definately check out their site if you know whats good for you! The second is Hatch show print, based in Nashville they use a stock of Letterpress type that was formed over 70 years ago. They are still creating gig posters to this day and have an amazing range of original hand carved woodblocks.
I've been listening to a bit of country music at the moment and am feeling the urge to make a road trip in Southern America one day-perhaps from print shop to print shop, Now that would be amazing!
