Working the needles...

It's been ages since I have done any needlework, specialising in printed textiles i left the needles behind for photoshop and an occasional squeegee. So after seeing embroidery hoop pieces on a few blogs I decided to have a go. I made this piece for a close friends birthday, we travelled to Italy from Paris last year so I knew this fabric would be perfect! So I stitched away and added some beads and filled in sections of the pattern. I was really pleased with how it turned out and I think I'm going to spend a bit more time trying to stitch some of my illustrations.
